ASAC 2023 Call for Papers

The Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC) invites you to submit a paper, work-in-progress, case, symposium or workshop proposal to the annual conference hosted by the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, from June 3 to 6, 2023.

Can we find our way?

We are navigating a complex world — the tail end of the pandemic (hopefully), global demand for sustainability, increasing inequality, and the need to collectively face our history to find the most appropriate and inclusive path forward. At ASAC 2023, we are asking… Can we find our way?

This is inspired by wayfinding, the idea regarding how we navigate space. Wayfinding is a process for getting to our destination and serves as a metaphor that facilitates questions to ensure we chart a route encouraging research and reflection on topics that are important to all of us. We welcome submissions on this theme and relevant to one of the following ASAC divisions:

Original Papers

ASAC will accept original papers, written in English or French and not previously published or presented elsewhere. All contributions will be peer reviewed; best paper awards will be given by each division.

Work-in-Progress

ASAC invites you to submit your work-in-progress and receive support from your colleagues in developing your paper. Work-in-progress submissions, written in English or French, should be 1,200 – 1,500 words (excluding references) and should otherwise follow the formatting of a paper submission. The abstracts of work-in-progress submissions will be included in the conference proceedings, but these submissions are not eligible for full publication in the proceedings or awards.

Case Division

The case division invites both English and French submissions, in either the regular or cases in development streams. Find more information for submitting to the case division here.

Symposia and Workshops

Members interested in organizing a symposium or workshop, in English or French, should submit a proposal according to the conference submission instructions and guidelines. Proposals can be submitted to one division only.

Virtual participation

When submitting to ASAC, please indicate whether you wish to participate virtually or in person should your submission be accepted. We will include a virtual component, however, the format depends on the amount of submissions we receive and the availability of virtual presentation sessions. Several conference-wide sessions of the in-person conference will be made available virtually as well.
