The School of Business of the University of Northern British Columbia invites applications for a tenure track position in the area of Human Resources Management/Organizational Behavior (HRM/OB) at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2019. The School of Business is the largest academic program in the University and is strongly committed to excellence in teaching and research. It offers three degrees – A Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting, Finance, General Business, Human Resources, International Business, and Marketing; a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Business Administration.
The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Human Resources Management/Organizational Behavior at the time of appointment. Candidates at the Assistant rank should demonstrate research potential (e.g., evidence of an emerging scholarly record, ability to establish and maintain an independent research program), evidence of high-quality teaching and a capacity for collaboration and collegial service. Candidates at the Associate rank should have demonstrated a strong record of high-quality performance in research, teaching and service. All candidates should explain how they will be a good fit for the UNBC School of Business. The successful candidate is expected to take a leadership role in the further development of HR major and coordinating with CPHR. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily in the area of human resources management, including undergraduate and graduate courses.
