The Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management commencing July 1, 2019.
Title of the Position:
Professor in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The rank is commensurate with experience.
Duties:
Duties of a faculty member will include in varying proportions: a) teaching activities; b) scholarly activities; c) academic service activities; and d) supervision of graduate students.
The candidate is interested and able to teach organizational behavior and/or human resources management at undergraduate and graduate levels; has a track record of publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals; has a track record of submitting research proposals to external granting agencies (success in receiving funds preferable); has a promising research program aligned with the School’s goal of publishing in internationally respected journals.

Salary & Benefits Package:
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and typically starts at $115,000 per year at the assistant level. The University of Ottawa provides a comprehensive compensation package, which includes long-term disability, basic group life insurance, supplementary health insurance, a University of Ottawa pension plan, optional life insurance and funds for eligible relocation expenses. The School also offers a start-up period with a reduced teaching load and start-up funding for research.

Skills Requirements:
Education: Ph.D. in organizational behaviour, human resource management, or in a related discipline. Candidates completing their PhD degrees by July 1, 2019 will be considered at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Otherwise, for those applying at the rank of Associate Professor, names and contact information of three individuals who may be contacted for references if the candidate is on the short list of people invited for an interview.
