Opportunity
The Department of Decision Sciences in the School of Business invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Decision Sciences at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2024, subject to final budgetary approval.
As part of our faculty, you will teach our undergraduate courses in management science, business statistics, and information systems, and help develop additional courses in these areas. You must maintain an active program of scholarship leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals. As a faculty member in the discipline, you are expected to engage with the industry in building relations and promoting the student co-op program within Alberta and beyond.
Qualifications
– A completed Ph.D. by June 2024 in Management Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field.
– Demonstrated student focus and teaching effectiveness.
– Evidence of ongoing research programs in areas related to, but not limited to Management Science, Information Systems, and Applied Economics. Additional research areas can include Operations Research, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain technology.
– Professional and industry experience in the Canadian context (preferred).
