Brescia University College, a Catholic university college affiliated with Western University is Canada’s only women’s university and provides instruction to over 1,500 students. Brescia is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill a position in the School of Leadership and Social Change.
Brescia University College invites applications for a 5-year limited term teaching-specialized workload appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of financial accounting, in the Management and Organizational Studies Program, to commence July 1, 2019. The preferred candidate will possess a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant designation, and at least a Master’s degree in a related field (doctorate preferred); at least five years of industry experience; and a successful record of teaching at the post-secondary level. This position will hold a “Teaching Specialized Workload” in accordance with the Brescia University College-Brescia Faculty Association 2016-2020 Collective Agreement: it is not required that teaching-specialized faculty engage in research, but they are expected to engage in scholarly activity that enhances their teaching or service activities. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level in areas that may include: financial accounting, taxation, auditing, introduction to business, nonprofit management, and strategic management. This person will also be expected to participate in academic program development and the academic life of Brescia University College.
