KeymasterHello all!
Thanks to everyone who attended the kick off meeting on Dec 1! For those who missed it, or if you’d like to watch again, find a recording of the meeting here.
This is DivExec! Here you can post questions based on any stage throughout the year. We will respond to your questions here so that others have access to the same information we share and can also respond with helpful insights. We recommend you click subscribe above (or “notify me” below) on any threads you post so you’re notified when there’s a response.
You can also find the Divisional Survival Guide here. This has helpful information and tips for each step along the way. In the survival guide, you’ll also find information on putting together a divisional speaker proposal (remember, you’ll need to submit that by Dec 20).
We’ll provide more information along the way. Talk soon!

ParticipantHi there,
I’m wondering if there is any news about next steps to kick off the review process now that the submission deadline has passed.
Best,
Simon -

ParticipantHi Tara,
Thanks for your quick reply. For planning purposes, will there be any webinars or meetings at the various stages, or are we to follow the survival guide only?

KeymasterHi Simon, yes, we will have another webinar with the Divisions once the general program schedule/ layout is decided. This is our current step, now that submissions are closed. Mehdi will send an invitation within the week to all Divisional Officers.
Cheers,
Tara -

ParticipantHi Tara,
It seems that all hyperlinks in the survival guide refer to documents created for ASAC 2021. I don’t think sharing these documents (with last year’s links, labels and instructions) with this year’s reviewers would be appropriate. Should we wait for an updated version for ASAC 2022?Best,
Andishe -

ParticipantI have the same issue. The word template available for reviewers “EMAIL TO REVIEWERS WHEN SENDING PAPERS” seems to be set up for last year and for manually contacting reviewers with papers. I was under the impression that all reviewers could be contacted in a single batch within the system once assigned. If so, can somebody point to the template for that?

KeymasterHi Andishe, thanks for that heads up. The links to the instructions are now updated. For quick reference find them here: https://asac.ca/divisional-officers-survival-guide/2020-21-sg-managing-submissions-and-building-the-program/

ParticipantThank you!
Do we have the best reviewer award for this year? Is it something that our division should decide? -

ParticipantHi Andishe, yes, the decision of awarding a best reviewer award rests in the capable hands of the divisions 🙂
