Applications are invited from exceptional candidates for the Dancap Chair in Consumer Behaviour in the DAN Department of Management and Organizational Studies, Faculty of Social Science, effective July 1, 2020, or as negotiated. The success candidate will have demonstrated academic excellence based on productivity and impact in research in the area of Consumer Behaviour and will receive a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate or Professor. Potential applicants should have a PhD in Consumer Behavior, Marketing, or any Social Science discipline in which the focus of their research program fits any of the topics in the Consumer Behaviour Research cluster, and their present research interests should similarly align with the Cluster. Candidates must possess a record of sustained scholarly research and publications in leading refereed journals, evidence of excellent teaching ability and innovation in program development, and of a wider impact on the scholarly community. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strong research program including publishing in leading journals in consumer behaviour and marketing, successfully competing for research funding, teaching courses in consumer behaviour, and cognate fields, and contributing to ongoing curriculum and program development. Reflecting the high-profile nature of this position, the successful candidate should maintain an impressive record of service and leadership in one\u2019s discipline, including involvement in professional associations, conference organization and track chairing, and editorial teams and boards, and serve as an ambassador for the Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dating back to 1878, the University of Western Ontario is one of the most distinguished and most highly-ranked research intensive universities in Canada. It is located in London, Ontario, a highly affordable and family friendly city of approximately 350,000. London is situated approximately half-way between Toronto and Detroit with excellent access to these centers by car, train, or air. It is also within a 45 minute drive to the beaches of Lake Erie and Lake Huron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
