The School of Business and Economics (SOBE) at Thompson Rivers University invites applications for a limited term contract (1 year renewable) position in the teaching (bipartite) stream at the rank of Lecturer to teach, mentor and coordinate multiple sections of Introduction to Business course (MNGT 1710).
The Department of Management, Information and Supply Chain is an integral part of the School of Business & Economics and offers a Supply Chain Management Major and Minor, a Post-baccalaureate Diploma in Supply Chain, and Minors in Project Management and Management Information System areas.
The School of Business and Economics (SoBE) is a dynamic part of Thompson Rivers University and offers a wide array of successful graduate and undergraduate degree, diploma, and certificate programs in both business and economics. These programs are taught to domestic and international students using both on-campus and distance delivery methods.
The successful candidate will teach up to eight sections of undergraduate course “Introduction to Business”. The successful candidate is expected to make service contribution by mentoring and coordinating the sessional faculty for the same course.
REQUIREMENTS
•An MBA or a master’s degree in general business management is required
•An undergraduate degree in a business management area is preferred
•Prior university level teaching experience is preferred
•Familiarity across diverse business disciplines is preferred
•Practical Canadian business experience is preferred
•Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel and strong computer skills are preferred
•Experience using Learning Management Systems (Moodle etc) is preferred
