The School of Business and Economics (SOBE) at Thompson Rivers University invites applications for a tripartite tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in strategic management and business strategy area. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2019 or later. The Department of Management, Information and Supply Chain is an integral part of the School of Business & Economics and offers a Supply Chain Management Major and Minor, a Post-baccalaureate Diploma in Supply Chain, and Minors in Project Management and Management Information System areas in addition to offering service courses for the School of Business & Economics.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in strategic management and business strategy area. A tripartite faculty member is expected to teach five courses or course sections per year, in addition to carry out a research agenda and scholarly activities in strategy area. The candidate would be expected to make service contributions to the profession, department, school, university or community by participating on various committees and contributing to various initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•An earned Ph.D. or DBA in strategy area is required. Candidates at thesis submission stage who provide evidence of near completion Ph.D. will be considered.
•Master’s degree in a business area is preferred.
•Strong research potential to author publications in peer-reviewed avenues is required.
•Either teaching experience in strategy area or practical experience in a strategic leadership role is required.
•Ability to teach our majors and minors in supply chain, project management and business analytics areas is preferred.
•Strong computer skills are required.
