Symposium: Working with Digital Archives
The purpose of this PDW is to support researchers in minimizing the hurdles and maximizing the benefits of building and using a digital repository and archive. The workshop organizers/facilitators will engage participants in discussion around some of the barriers to using digital repositories, and share insights into ways that some of these barriers may be addressed. We will also discuss the ways in which doing digital history can enhance scholarship, accessibility and knowledge mobilization. Workshop participants from all stages of their academic careers are invited to share their own experiences and expertise on this topic through group discussion and small group activities focused on a case study example.
Organizers/facilitators:
Amy Thurlow (Mount Saint Vincent University)
Patricia Genoe McLaren (Wilfred Laurier University)
Nicholous (Nick) Deal (Saint Mary’s University)
