Dr. Amir Bahman Radnejad, Associate Professor of Mount Royal University
Bio:
Dr. Radnejad’s academic narrative is marked by a wealth of international experiences and achievements across various disciplines. His journey began with a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran, followed by a master’s degree in Innovation from the University of Manchester, UK. He further advanced his scholarly pursuits by obtaining a PhD in Strategy from the University of Calgary.
Dr. Radnejad’s career trajectory is equally diverse. His initial tenure-track appointment was at the AACSB-accredited Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University, a private institution in the USA. He then transitioned to a tenure-track position at the AACSB-accredited School of Business and Management at the State University of New York at Brockport, a notable public university where he was awarded tenure. Continuing his academic journey, Dr. Radnejad returned to Canada to assume the role of Associate Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Bisset School of Business, Mount Royal University.
Through his extensive experience in varied educational systems around the world, Dr. Radnejad has acquired profound insights into recruitment processes and the job market across different countries. This knowledge is especially beneficial for PhD students and early-career academics striving to navigate and establish themselves in the academic field.

This is a pre-submission workshop for the CJAS special issue “Brief Phenomenon-driven Papers on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)” that aims to facilitate interdisciplinary discussions in the management field on the topic of SDGs.
It focuses on original and high-quality empirical research that is rigorously conducted and succinctly conveyed across all disciplines in the business field. Research papers in this special issue will follow specific guidelines adapted from those for Nature but are adjusted to the context of social science. Papers can explore micro, meso or macro perspectives. We welcome papers from scholars worldwide, studying especially emerging economies or indigenous communities.

The online pre-submission workshop will take place in parallel to the ASAC 2024 meeting to provide more information for scholars who are interested in contributing to the special issue.
Workshop attendance is recommended but not compulsory for submission to the special issue.
Structure of the workshop
The online workshop will last for 90min. In the first 30min, the guest editors will introduce the aims and expectations of the special issue. Most importantly, as articles in the special issue are expected to follow specific guidelines that are different from the standard guidelines in the management field, the guest editors will provide guidance on how to prepare the manuscripts based on the requirements of the special issue. In the next hour, prospective contributors will have the opportunity to discuss with guest editors about research ideas and manuscripts in breakout rooms, and gather feedback from editors as well as other authors.

This event will be taking place during the ASAC 2024 conference, however, authors participating in this workshop do not need to register for the ASAC 2024 to attend the workshop.
