Program coordinator questions

Hi Mark et al.,

Three quick questions from the S/SR division as we dive into the program:

1) Are all times we were given EST?

2) Do you happen to know when the AGM and/or Divisional Chairs meeting will be?

3) Are there any other key conference-wide events we should be aware of as we plan out our schedule?

Hi Simon,

Thanks for your questions! Here are responses…

1. Yes, times given are in EST. The majority of ASAC members are in the eastern time zone, however we have developed the schedule considering the western time zones, as well as the potential for colleagues in Europe to join us for the conference. If you have any time zone related issues with your program coordination, please let us know and we’ll do what we can to advise and help find a solution. 

2. We have penciled the divisional council meeting in for Saturday June 12 at 2:30 – 3:45 pm (eastern), and the AGM in for Sunday at 9 – 10:15 am. 

3. There are a few conference-wide events taking place, however the session times we built for you in ScholarOne were put together in consideration of these sessions. There is a main ASAC keynote taking place on Monday at 10:30 am – 12:00 pm (eastern). There are no sessions scheduled during this time slot. There are other divisional keynotes scheduled throughout the program, and these have been scheduled to ensure only one divisional keynote occurs at one time, to maximize attendance opportunity and minimize impacts on the divisional streams.
