University of New Brunswick (Saint John campus) ~ Assistant or Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management and Logistics (Tenure-Track Position)

The Faculty of Business, University of New Brunswick Saint John, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Supply Chain Management and Logistics (SCM&L) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The position is available to start on November 1, 2025, or a mutually agreed date. The selection committee will begin reviewing applications by August 1, 2025, and continue the process until the position is filled. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

Before the start date, the successful candidate must have earned a terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in Operations Management, Management Science, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a closely related field from an accredited university, preferably by AACSB.

The preferred candidate will be experienced in teaching various subjects related to SCM&L (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Quantitative Methods, etc.) at the undergraduate and/or MBA levels. They will have published – or at least have a significant potential to publish, if they are junior faculty – in internationally recognized Operations and Supply Chain Management journals such as those in the SCM List (www.scmlist.com).

The successful candidate will be expected to actively engage in research and provide subject matter expertise and leadership in Supply Chain Management and Logistics. Experience or interest in maritime logistics and/or global supply chains involving seaports would be a significant asset.

Qualifications
• Candidates must have earned a terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a closely related field from an accredited university, preferably by AACSB.
• Candidates must demonstrate successful teaching experience, commensurate with their level of academic seniority, in relevant areas such as Operations Management, Quantitative Analysis and Project Management.
• Candidates must be committed to working with diverse student populations and in culturally diverse work and educational environments, and to promoting experiential learning.
• The candidate must have published, or have a significant potential to publish, in internationally recognized Supply Chain Management journals.
• Industry experience and/or ability to work effectively with industry partners and community stakeholders would be an asset.

Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba ~ Assistant or Associate Professor with the Dept. of Supply Chain Management

The Department of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at the I.H. Asper School of Business invites applications for one Probationary (Tenure-track) at the Assistant Professor and/or Associate Professor rank in Supply Chain Management with a strong preference for individuals engaged in research on supply chain management and related areas and who are prepared to teach graduate and undergraduate-level courses on topics related to operation management, supply chain management such as (but not limited to) Supply Chain Management and Sustainability, Supply Chain Collaboration, Learning and Innovation, Supply Chain Analytics, Supply Chain Integration, Transportation Economics and/or Supply Chain Logistics. The normal teaching load at the I.H. Asper School of Business is four three-credit-hour courses per year. The starting date for this position is January 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The I.H. Asper School of Business (http://umanitoba.ca/asper) is accredited by the AACSB and is the major business school in the province of Manitoba. The School offers undergraduate, MBA, a newly launched Professional Master of Supply Chain Management and Logistics (MSCM) (https://umanitoba.ca/explore/programs-of-study/master-supply-chain-management-and-logistics-mscm), MFin, M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees with a Ph.D. concentration in supply chain management. The Asper School is a research-intensive institution comprised of approximately 70 full-time faculty members (representing over 13 countries) publishing in leading academic journals. The Department of SCM was established on July 1, 2004, bringing together experts in, supply chain management, logistics, transportation, management science, and operations management, including the Director of the Transport Institute (https://umanitoba.ca/asper/transport-institute). The Department of SCM and the Transport Institute share a joint mandate to become a Centre of Excellence in Logistics, Transportation, and Supply Chain Management.

1. Cover letter with a concise summary of qualifications and a personal statement of suitability for the position.

3. Research statement highlighting the applicant’s most significant contributions and connecting these to the applicant’s vision of success in the short-term, medium-term (~5 years) and long-term (career).
4. Statement of teaching philosophy and interests that documents the applicant’s experience in, and approach to, training and mentoring diverse students.
5. Names and addresses of at least three (3) referees (reference letters will be requested from shortlisted candidates only).
6. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide a statement describing past, present or planned actions to promote equity, diversity, inclusion and Indigenous reconciliation in the academic community (maximum two pages).
