Tagged: Email, Questions, ScholarOne
Hi, all:
There was a question raised at our workshop last week about what emails the system sends out automatically, and which ones need to be send by divisional executive members in their various roles.
I’ve done some investigating, because there was a perception that the system was mailing more than it was; that perception was incorrect.
The following are the emails that the system will auto-generate and send:
Abstract Emails
– Abstract Returned to Draft (generated to the submitting author when a submitter changes the status of a submission from submitted to draft)
– Abstract Submitted (generated to the submitting author when an abstract is successfully submitted)
– Abstract Withdrawn (generated to the submitting author when an abstract is withdrawn)
– Abstract Complete but not Submitted (generated to the submitting author when the abstract is fully complete, but has not been submitted)
Account Administration
– Account Creation (generated when an account is created on the system)
– Account Removed by User Request (generated when the account user requests the account to be removed; cannot be done after submissions or other activities involving the user exist in the system)
– Forgot Password (generated when a user requests a password reset)
– Send Account Information (generated when a user requests a reminder of their account information)
That’s it.
Everything else must be manually prepared, using the system tools that we have already discussed (clicking on an email address to auto-generate a template, or using the mass email function on those panels that allow you to select and send to multiple recipients).
I hope this helps clarify any questions.
With best regards,
Mark
