      Folks:

A reminder that today is the deadline for your paper acceptance decisions. Email templates for communicating decisions and awards are in the Survival Guide (section 6, Templates).

As well, as we discussed in the workshop last week, you should have your decisions identified in ScholarOne. This allows the Program Coordinators to start their role.

After today, the Program Coordinators can essentially START developing their program. Rory and I will be finalizing the draft session schedule this weekend, after which program coordinators will see their assigned sessions.

For those of you how missed last week’s workshop, attached once again is a link to the recording: https://asac.ca/forums/topic/divisional-update-meeting-8-april-2021-2/

A reminder that Program Coordinators need to coordinate with their other divisional executive members on when you would like to hold your division meeting, and Rory and I know so we can properly set that up as an event in the system (and any other divisional activities that aren’t part of the approved divisional keynotes).

Also a reminder that the guidelines for Program Coordinators to use ScholarOne to build their program has been published in the Survival Guide: https://asac.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/ASAC-2021-Program-Coordinator-Instructions.pdf

Also a reminder as we discussed that awards need to be identified within the system. Divisional Editors will need to let their Program Coordinators know which papers receive which awards. They can then be identified by the Program Coordinators:
      1. Build your program.
      2. Select the session that the award paper is contained within.
      3. Open up the [+] button on the far right of the grid next to the paper.
      4. Choose the award from the pull-down menu.
This is the only place in the system that this can be identified.

      Have a great weekend.

      Mark
