Here are some of the samples that you can use when communicating with reviewers, and reminding them to follow through on their review commitments:
Shared by Ryan in the Accounting Division (for slightly late reviewers):
This message is a reminder that the review deadline for ASAC 2021 Accounting Division submissions is Friday, April 9th. Our dashboard shows that you (like myself) have outstanding review work.
Conferences such as ASAC work only with the volunteer labour of the academic community. We know that you have many responsibilities to manage, and we appreciate your willingness to dedicate reviewing time to ASAC this year. We look forward to receiving your reviews and proceeding with the behind-the-scenes work of building this year’s conference.
Shared by Nataly in the Marketing Division (for reviewers that have disappeared, and yet strangely have their own papers in the review cycle):
Hi there.
I haven’t heard from you regarding the reviews you agreed to do, despite several follow-up emails. As an author yourself, I know you depend on quality reviews to help you improve your research and the quality of papers. So do the colleagues whose papers you have agreed to review.
Please take the time to complete the reviews prior to the deadline, so that we may continue to plan for the conference and so that your colleagues can benefit from your considered and thoughtful insights regarding their papers.”
