The Department of Management in the Gerald Schwartz School of Business invites applications for a Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Management. This position is a sabbatical replacement for 9 months, from August 17, 2026 – May 14, 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver courses in entrepreneurship and management.
This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
Candidates will be considered based on their combination of education and relevant work experience. Applicants should possess a graduate degree, ideally a PhD (or near completion). Recent teaching or relevant industry experience will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be foremost a skilled teacher who is committed to excelling in an undergraduate, experiential learning environment. The Department is also seeking candidates who are committed to contributing to StFX’s priorities of equity, diversity, and inclusion, with preference given to candidates of diverse backgrounds, who can bring their perspectives and lived experiences to this position.
About the Department of Management at Schwartz
The Department of Management is one of the three departments at the Gerald Schwartz School of Business , which offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with several degree streams, post-baccalaureate diplomas in various business-related subjects, a five-year two-degree Entrepreneurship and Human Nutrition pathway, and co-op degree options. The Department of Management consists of faculty members who research and teach courses in the areas of Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Management & Leadership. Our historic residential campus is home to a population of around 5,000 students, approximately one-in-five of whom are in a Business program.
