Dalhousie University, Faculty of Management ~ Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Prosperity

The Faculty of Management at Dalhousie University invites applications for a SSHRC Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Indigenous Prosperity from applicants Indigenous to Northern Turtle Island (Canada). The successful applicant will be appointed in a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in one of the eight departments in the Faculty based on disciplinary fit. The CRC will work in collaboration with the Atlantic Indigenous Economic Development Integrated Research Program (AIEDIRP) at the Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs Secretariat Inc (APC).

The Chair will bring their knowledge, experience, and passion to conduct research motivated by the challenges faced by Indigenous communities and will bring Indigenous-led knowledge and value to communities. They will hold expertise in a social science with focus on topics related to prosperity of Indigenous communities, where prosperity is understood in a broad sense to include the interrelated aspects of economic rights and advancement, strong social fabric, and relational well-being. The Chair may focus on issues related to reconciliation and business or policy, including micro- (e.g. Indigenous entrepreneurship, Indigenous human resources), meso- (e.g. Indigenous organizations, Indigenous-no Indigenous partnerships), or macro-level issues (e.g. Indigenous economic system, Indigenous innovation strategies). The Chair will have an in-depth understanding of the academic and practical importance of core documents, such as the Truth and Reconciliation Reports, the MMIWG2S Final Report and Calls to Justice and the United Nations Declaration of Rights of Indigenous People.

Schwartz School of Business, St. Francis Xavier University: Limited Term Assistant Professor ~ Entrepreneurship

The Department of Management in the Gerald Schwartz School of Business invites applications for a Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Management. This position is a sabbatical replacement for 9 months, from August 17, 2026 – May 14, 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver courses in entrepreneurship and management.

This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Candidates will be considered based on their combination of education and relevant work experience. Applicants should possess a graduate degree, ideally a PhD (or near completion). Recent teaching or relevant industry experience will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be foremost a skilled teacher who is committed to excelling in an undergraduate, experiential learning environment. The Department is also seeking candidates who are committed to contributing to StFX’s priorities of equity, diversity, and inclusion, with preference given to candidates of diverse backgrounds, who can bring their perspectives and lived experiences to this position.

About the Department of Management at Schwartz
The Department of Management is one of the three departments at the Gerald Schwartz School of Business , which offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with several degree streams, post-baccalaureate diplomas in various business-related subjects, a five-year two-degree Entrepreneurship and Human Nutrition pathway, and co-op degree options. The Department of Management consists of faculty members who research and teach courses in the areas of Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Management & Leadership. Our historic residential campus is home to a population of around 5,000 students, approximately one-in-five of whom are in a Business program.

Lazaridis School of Business & Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University – Accounting – Tenure-Track Assistant Professor

The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics (Lazaridis School) at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Accounting area, commencing July 1, 2026. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Accounting or related field. Candidates near the completion of their Ph.D. are eligible to apply providing the requirements for the Ph.D. degree will be completed within one year. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to excellence in research and scholarship through high quality peer reviewed publications in their areas of expertise. The position is open to all areas of Accounting.

Successful candidates for the position must have:
· Demonstrated research potential in areas that include financial accounting, managerial accounting, assurance, and/or taxation
· Clear potential to develop an independent and robust research program
· Exhibited a capacity for generating scholarly outputs, such as publications, research funding, and engagement in interdisciplinary collaboration, commensurate with the candidate’s level
· Obtained experience or demonstrated an interest in actively participating in the training and mentorship of both graduate and undergraduate students within their research program
· A professional accounting designation is considered an asset, with a Canadian CPA preferred
· The ability to effectively teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels (BBA, Graduate Diploma in Accounting, MBA, and/or PhD)
· Demonstrated desire to contribute to service
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team to ensure consistency across sections in a multi-section course

Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria – Dean

Reporting to the Vice-President Academic and Provost, the Dean will provide strategic, collaborative, and inspirational leadership to the School. The Dean will provide visionary leadership across three core priority areas: Culture and People, Revenue Growth and External Engagement, and Research and Teaching Excellence.

They will foster an inclusive, collaborative, and transparent environment; lead strategic advancement to grow the School’s reputation and resources; and champion interdisciplinary research and ethical business education. With a strong commitment to equity, Indigenization, and global impact, the Dean will guide Gustavson’s next chapter of innovation, engagement, and purpose-driven leadership. They will play a national leadership role in shaping business education in Canada and will collaborate across the University and with alumni, donors, industry leaders, and community partners to advance the School’s vision and reputation.

Rotman School of Management: University of Toronto ~ Associate Professor/ Professor – Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management

The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream appointment in the Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management area. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

 

Candidates must hold a PhD degree in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or a closely related field and must have a clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching in organizational behaviour and human resource management. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance the area’s existing strengths in organizational behaviour and human resource management. Specifically, we seek candidates who study the psychological processes underlying creativity, ethical decision-making, and environmental and social sustainability.

 

Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence in organizational behaviour and human resource management. Evidence of research excellence is shown primarily by an outstanding and competitive program of research as detailed in a research statement, publications in internationally recognized top-tier academic journals in organizational behaviour, human resource management, or cognate disciplines, and strong letters of reference from referees of high standing. The successful candidate will have an established strong international reputation and will be expected to sustain and lead independent, innovative research leading to publications in internationally recognized top-ranked academic journals. We seek individuals who have published and have works in progress in top-ranked management and field specific academic journals (e.g., Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Nature). Further evidence of research excellence includes presentations at key management and field specific conferences, awards and accolades, research presentations at top universities, an active research pipeline, and noteworthy activities in the fields of organizational behaviour and human resource management.

 

Candidates must demonstrate a record of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels, including a strong demonstrated ability to integrate theory and practice in their teaching; evidence of effective communication and presentation skills; evidence of graduate student supervision; and a demonstrated mastery of the subject area.

 

Candidates must have experience teaching executives, graduate students, and undergraduate students in management or business schools. Evidence of excellence in teaching will be demonstrated by strong letters of reference, teaching accomplishments, the teaching dossier, and for short-listed candidates, a strong performance during the on-campus seminar presentation. The teaching dossier includes a teaching statement, sample course materials, teaching evaluations, and other evidence of strong performance in teaching-related activities.

University of Montreal – Assistant or an Associate Professor of Public Policies on Labour and Employment (Faculty of Arts & Science)

The School of Industrial Relations is one of the largest institutions for the study of work and employment in North America. Day-to-day responsibilities
– Develop an independent research program concerning public policies on labour and employment;
– Participate in large-scale research projects, get actively involved in research centers or groups, and pursue publication activities;
– Actively participate in teaching in French at all three cycles and participate in supervising graduate students;
– Get involved in the life of the School as well as in the functioning of the Faculty within committees and special projects;
– Participate in the promotion of the discipline on the national and international levels through publications, conferences, and scientific activities and get involved in community service projects.

Qualifications
– Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to public policies on labour and employment or in industrial relations. Applications from individuals who are completing their doctoral dissertation will also be considered.

– A demonstrated ability to provide high-quality university teaching in the field of public policies on labour and employment.

HEC Montréal ~ Tenure-track Faculty Position in International Business

The Department of International Business at HEC Montréal is seeking to recruit one or more professors in international business, depending on the department’s needs, with expertise and interest in major global issues and the transformations of economic, social, and institutional dynamics. The committee is particularly interested in candidates whose research addresses, among other topics, international trade, global governance, the management and strategy of multinational enterprises, innovation and globalization, local/regional and national economic development, as well as new themes related to sustainable and inclusive economic development in diverse national and international contexts.

Department of International Business: The Department of International Business at HEC Montréal (https://www.hec.ca/affint/) is composed of 15 full-time faculty members from diverse disciplines. Faculty members have published their research in leading academic journals, including Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of International Business Studies, Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management Studies, Management Science, World Development, Journal of Development Economics, Regional Studies, Journal of Economic Geography, among others.

The Department seeks primarily to recruit at the rank of Assistant Professor, ideally a recent PhD graduate or a candidate close to completing a doctorate in international business or a related field (e.g., economics, geography, political science), while remaining open to exceptional applications at other academic ranks. Responsibilities of the selected candidates include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as advancing a research program in international business.

Requirements: Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • A completed PhD (or near completion) in international business or a related field. Priority will be given to recent PhD graduates intending to begin their careers at the rank of Assistant Professor, although exceptional candidates at higher ranks will also be considered.
  • A demonstrated record of, or strong potential for, scholarly research achievement, commensurate with the academic rank.
  • A passion for teaching and for engaging with students at different levels.
  • A willingness to learn French. The selected candidate must be able to teach and work in French after two years in the position; substantial support will be provided to help achieve this goal, including a reduced teaching load and a personalized French-language training program.
  • The main language of instruction at HEC Montréal is French. Since HEC Montréal also offers courses in English, proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Mount Saint Vincent University ~ Tourism and Hospitality Management, Lecturer or Assistant Professor (Tenure Track Position)

The Department of Business Administration and Tourism and Hospitality Management at Mount Saint Vincent
University (MSVU) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Tourism (Mi’kmaw/Indigenous) at the
Lecturer or Assistant Professor level, with a preferred commencing date of January 1, 2026. Mount Saint Vincent University is located on Canada’s East Coast in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The successful candidate will teach courses in Tourism and Hospitality Management, including Introduction to Mi’kmaw/Indigenous Tourism. They will also have the opportunity to develop additional Indigenous-focused Tourism courses and to collaborate with MSVU’s successful and innovative Aboriginal Academic Access to Post-Secondary (AAAPs) program, which is offered in partnership with the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre.

Position Requirements
• Applicants must have a university degree, with a preference for an advanced degree (Masters or Doctoral level). MSVU respects Indigenous ways of knowing and research, such as, but not limited to, being a Knowledge Sharer and/or Respected Elder within an Indigenous community and will consider these as part of a holistic review of each candidate’s qualifications.
• Direct connections and relationships with Indigenous communities, specifically Mi’kmawcommunities, is critical to this position. This is a designated position open only to applicants who are Indigenous, with preference given to Mi’kmaw applicants. The successful candidate will be required to provide confirmation of Indigenous identity.

The successful candidate must have:

• Three to five years of lived experience working in the Mi’kmaw/Indigenous tourism industry or in a leadership role in Mi’kmaw/Indigenous communities
• Recent and relevant experience working directly with Mi’kmaw/Indigenous communities
• Have a strong working knowledge of the Indigenous tourism industry in the Atlantic Region, Nationally, and Internationally

Workload for the role includes teaching, scholarly research, and collegial service. Salary and benefits are as per the Collective Agreement between the Mount Saint Vincent University Faculty Association and Mount Saint Vincent University. Successful candidates will be required to teach in-person, on campus as part of their annual workload.
